Abu Dhabi ranked among the world's richest cities in terms of capital managed by sovereign wealth funds, with $1.7 trillion as of October 2024.
This value includes the assets of Abu Dhabi sovereign wealth funds such as the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, Mubadala, Abu Dhabi Development Holding Company, Abu Dhabi Fund for Development, Tawazun, and the Federal Fund.
The six largest cities account for two-thirds of this wealth, followed by Abu Dhabi (home to the world's largest sovereign wealth fund), Beijing, Singapore, Riyadh, and Hong Kong, from which China manages its second sovereign wealth fund.
