The National Office of Airports (ONDA), the state company responsible for managing and operating Morocco's airports, revealed the results of travel traffic for the period between January and August, which were eye-catching with a jump of 18.6% year-on-year.
According to the bureau's data, the country's airports received more than 21.41 million passengers in the first eight months of this year. International air traffic recorded 19.18 million passengers, while domestic traffic increased by 26.82 percent year-on-year to more than 2.23 million passengers. Officials view 2024 as the year of returning travel to its pre-pandemic pace and possibly surpassing 2019 figures.
