Pietro Rampino is the new president of the Italian-Arab Joint Chamber of Commerce

Secretary General of the Union of Arab Chambers, Dr. Khaled Hanafi, participated in the meetings of the General Assembly and the Board of Directors of the Arab-Italian Chamber, which were held in the Italian capital, Rome, in the presence of members of the Chamber from the Arab and Italian sides, in addition to members of the Council of Arab Ambassadors accredited to Italy.

During the meeting, Pietro Rampino was chosen as the new president of the joint Arab-Italian Chamber of Commerce, in light of the agreement reached between the old Italian Chamber and the joint Arab-Italian Chamber of Commerce, during which the two chambers (old and new) were merged, with the president of the old chamber assuming the position of vice president from the Italian side. In addition to adding a few members of the old Chamber’s Board of Directors to the Board of Directors of the Joint Italian Arab Chamber of Commerce (JIACC), dissolving the old Chamber and transferring its funds to the Joint Italian Arab Chamber of Commerce (JIACC), the Joint Italian Arab Chamber of Commerce (JIACC) will be the only Italian Chamber recognized by the Union and the League of Arab States.

Rampino was Vice President of the Joint Arab-Italian Chamber of Commerce and was instrumental in the re-integration of the old and new chambers. He has extensive business experience and is a member of the Milan Association of Certified Public Accountants. He is a lecturer at the Business School in Rome and at the New International Business Institute in Milan, where he teaches “Islamic Finance and Doing Business in the Middle East and North Africa Region.” He is also Chairman of the Board of Auditors and Internal Auditors of several medium and large Italian companies as well as a member of the Board of Directors, and is a trustee in important bankruptcy proceedings at the Court of Milan. He is Vice-Chairman of the International Committee for Non-European Markets of the Association of Chartered Accountants of Milan. He has cooperated with the Saudi Industrial Development Fund - Dussur - as an advisor for the Italian market. He contributed to the establishment of the Italian Business Incubator in Jebel Ali Free Zone - Dubai - UAE and as an advisor for the Italian market for Hamriyah Free Zone - Sharjah, and Emirates Advanced Investment Fund - Abu Dhabi, and the exclusive agent for Italy for Jebel Ali Free Zone - DP World - Dubai - UAE.

He is the author of “Islamic Finance Instruments to Support the Italian System” published by Pearson, “Sukuk between Ethics and Sustainability to Support the System” published by Lewis University Press, and “Saudi Arabia - Vision Becomes Reality” published by Paesi Edizioni - Rome.

The new president of the Joint Arab-Italian Chamber of Commerce holds a degree in Economics and Business Studies from the University Cattolica del Sacro Curie in Milan, and a Master’s degree in Corporate Finance from the SDA Bocconi University in Milan.
