Rising Flows of Tourism and Foreign Investment in Egypt

Central Bank of Egypt data showed Egypt's money supply (N2) rose 28.691 percent year-on-year in August. The money supply stood at 10.896 trillion pounds ($226.15 billion), up from 8.467 trillion pounds in the same month last year.

The Central Bank of Egypt revealed that net foreign direct investment inflows in Egypt increased, reaching $ 46.1 billion by the end of the last fiscal year 2023-2024.

Tourism revenues were $14.4 billion last fiscal year, up from $13.6 billion the previous fiscal year. Suez Canal revenues fell to $6.6 billion last fiscal year from $8.8 billion in the previous fiscal year. Remittances from Egyptians abroad recorded $21.9 billion in 2023-2024.
