Arab Forum for Promoting Transparency and Good Governance

The Union of Arab Chambers participated in the activities of the "Second Arab Forum for Promoting Transparency and Good Governance", which was held in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad. The forum was organized by the Federal Integrity Commission and under the patronage of Prime Minister Mohamed Shiaa Al-Sudani, and in cooperation with Transparency International and the Arab Administrative Development Organization, under the slogan: "Integrity and achieving sustainable development goals".

The forum was attended by the President of the Integrity Commission, Judge Haider Hanoun, the Ambassador of the European Union Delegation, the Representative of the United Nations Mission for Humanitarian Affairs, the Secretary-General of the Arab Transparency Organization, and the heads of diplomatic missions and international organizations.

The representative of the Union of Arab Chambers spoke at the "Main Session - Integrity in an Era of Complexity and Opportunity in the Arab World" moderated by Kinda Hattar - Regional Advisor to Transparency International. The intervention focused on the specifications of the Arab private sector and the challenges it faces. She highlighted the importance and how to govern the private sector in light of the problems of intersection with the public sector. She highlighted the importance of the Sustainable Development Goals in consolidating a culture of integrity and transparency and achieving comprehensive development.
