Oil prices rose slightly on Thursday, after two sessions of losses as renewed concerns about Libyan supplies although this was offset by a smaller-than-expected decline in U.S. crude inventories that undermined the demand outlook.

Brent crude futures rose nine cents, or0.11 percent, to $78.74 a barrel. U.S. West Texas Intermediate crude futures rose 15 cents, or 0.2 percent, to $74.67. Crude fell more than 1 percent on Wednesday after data showed U.S. crude inventories fell 846,000 barrels to 425.2 million barrels last week.
