A report issued by the Office des Changes of the Ministry of Economy and Finance revealed that Moroccans' spending on travel increased by 13.8% in the first six months of 2024, reaching $ 1.42 billion.

The figure exceeded the level before the coronavirus pandemic, which led to a strong decline in travel spending abroad, and almost double what Moroccans spent on travel in the first six months of 2022, which saw transport return to normal.

By the end of 2024, spending is expected to exceed the $2.5 billion barrier, which is expected to exceed the level reached in 2019 when it was around $1 billion.
