UAE Targets $816 Billion in Non-Oil Foreign Trade in 2024

Sheikh Mohamed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, revealed that the UAE aims to achieve 3 trillion dirhams ($ 816.7 billion) in non-oil foreign trade transactions by the end of this year. He pointed out that the UAE's foreign trade approached 1.4 trillion dirhams ($ 381 billion) in six months, with a growth of 25 percent for non-oil exports.

"Several years ago, we announced our national economic goals, and we announced that our foreign trade target for 2031 is AED 4 trillion ($1.08 trillion) per year, which was a very challenging target at the time. While today, we received the figures for the first half of 2024, as our exports in just 6 months reached what we exported during a full year before (Corona), in 2019. Our foreign trade approached AED 1.4 trillion ($381 billion) in 6 months, with a growth of 25 percent for our non-oil exports."
