Data from the Central Bureau of Statistics showed that consumer price indices (inflation) rose locally by 3 percent during July on an annual basis.

The inflation rate in Kuwait in July rose 0.15 percent month-on-month compared to June. The year-on-year rise in inflation came as a result of the increase in the prices of the main groups affecting the movement of indices, especially clothing, foodstuffs, education and clothing.

The index of the first group "Food and Beverages" increased by 5.89 percent compared to the same month in 2023. The price index of the second group "cigarettes and tobacco" rose slightly by 0.15 percent year-on-year.
