The UAE achieved the world's best performance in terms of foreign direct investment relative to the size of its economy in 2023, after a record number of companies established in the country.
In the ninth edition of FDI Intelligence's FDI Performance Index, the UAE attracted the highest amount of FDI relative to its GDP out of 108 countries assessed.
The UAE moved up two places from last year's ranking, seeing the largest increase (more than 316) in FDI projects in 2023 compared to the previous year. It achieved 14.78 points, with 7.11 percent of foreign direct investment projects, and a GDP of $504.17 billion.
