Egypt: Foreign Direct Investment Expected To Increase to Exceed $35 Billion

FDI inflows to Egypt accounted for about 75.8 percent of total inflows in North African countries.

According to the budget data for the fiscal year 2024-2025, net foreign direct investment in Egypt increased from about $ 5.2 billion during the fiscal year 2021-2022 to about $ 10 billion during the fiscal year 2022-2023.

The budget expected the value of these net foreign direct flows to rise to $35 billion during the fiscal year 2024-2025, compared to $30 billion in 2023-2024, after signing the joint agreement with the United Arab Emirates to establish urban and tourist complexes in the Ras Al-Hikma area.
