$406 Billion in Foreign Investments in Oil and Gas in Arabic Countries

The oil and gas sector in Arabic countries attracted 610 projects, implemented by 356 foreign and Arab companies in the region, at a total investment cost of $ 406 billion between January 2003 and May 2024, i.e. about 22 years.

A report by the Kuwait-based Arabic Investment and Export Credit Guarantee Corporation (Daman) showed that the United States topped the list as the most important investor in the region Arabic in the oil and gas sector in terms of the number of projects, with 85 projects, representing about 14 percent of the total. Russia came out on top in terms of investment cost with $ 61.5 billion, representing about 15.2 percent of the total, according to the database of foreign direct investment projects in the world.
