The price of Bitcoin fell sharply, falling to its lowest price level since last January below $50,000, before returning and trading at $51,298, while Ether fell by about 20 percent. That means Bitcoin has lost around $19,000 since last Monday, making it one of the worst weekly trades in its 15-year history.

With Bitcoin expected to continue rising above $100,000 by the end of the year, and with the strong support the cryptocurrency market received from former US President Donald Trump, it was expected that the crypto market would gain more liquidity. However, during the last week, the market witnessed violent shocks and shocking losses.
