Qatar's Trade Balance Surplus Jumps To $5 Billion in June

The trade Qatar balance, which represents the difference between total exports and imports, during June, achieved a surplus of 12.4 percent to the level of 19.6 billion riyals ($ 5.3 billion), equivalent to 2.2 billion riyals annually. It jumped 11.7 percent by two billion riyals, compared to last May. According to the Qatar National Planning Council in its monthly foreign trade statistics report, Qatar's total exports, which include exports of local origin and re-exports, reached 29.5 billion riyals, an increase of 9.9 percent compared to June 2023, while it increased by 5.1 percent year-on-year. The value of commodity imports also increased annually by 5.1 percent to reach about 9.9 billion riyals, while it decreased monthly by 5.8 percent.
