Hamad International Airport (HIA) achieved growth in its operational performance during the first half of 2024, witnessing a significant increase in passenger traffic of 25 percent. Aircraft traffic and total baggage handled grew by 19 percent. The volume of air cargo operations increased by 12 percent, compared to the first half of 2023.
Hamad International Airport welcomed 25.9 million passengers during the first half of 2024, an increase of 25 percent compared to the first half of 2023. This included a 22.1 percent increase in the number of passengers flying directly to and from Doha, reflecting significant growth in the number of airline partners operating through the airport as well as the booming tourism sector in Qatar.
