E-Commerce Sales in Saudi Arabia Exceed 44 Billion Riyals

E-commerce sales in Saudi Arabia achieved an annual growth of 22 percent, with an increase of about 7.89 billion riyals, to reach the level of 44.42 billion riyals in the first quarter of 2024, compared to the same period of 2023, which amounted to 36.53 billion riyals.

The number of transactions carried out reached 263.24 million, reaching an all-time high, according to the statistical bulletin issued by the Saudi Central Bank.

E-commerce sales through “Mada” cards recorded a quarterly growth estimated at 10 percent, with an increase of about 3.89 billion riyals, compared to 40.53 billion riyals in the fourth quarter of 2023. Sales have recorded growth since the beginning of this year by 12.4 percent, with an increase of about 1.79 billion riyals, as they were at the level of 14.43 billion riyals in January.
