Egypt's Foreign Direct Investment Will Exceed $40 Billion In 2024

The CEO of the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones in Egypt, Hossam Heiba, revealed the authority's intention to organize roadshow tours for the European Union countries and the BRICS gathering during the remaining months of 2024, to promote investment in the country.

"Egypt exceeded its targets for foreign direct investment this year after the signing of the Ras El Hikma deal and a number of green hydrogen projects during the last period. It was targeted to attract $ 10 billion and $12 billion by the end of the year. We have exceeded these levels by stages after the Ras El Hikma deal and the green hydrogen projects, and foreign investment figures are expected to exceed $40 billion by the end of 2024."
