For The First Time In Its History.. Egyptian Merchandise Exports Exceed $16.5 Billion

The Ministry of Trade and Industry in Egypt revealed that Egyptian merchandise exports achieved their highest rate during the first 5 months of this year, recording $ 16.5 billion, an increase of 9.8 percent. Exports also achieved their highest monthly rate, reaching $ 3.5 billion in May.

The Minister of Trade and Industry, Eng. Ahmed Samir confirmed that this is the first time that Egyptian exports during the first 5 months of the year reach these large rates of export. He explained that merchandise exports rose for the fifth consecutive month, reaching during the first five months of this year $ 16.551 billion, compared to $ 15.74 billion, during the same period of 2023, a difference of $ 1.477 billion, an increase of 9.8 percent.
