Fitch Ratings has upgraded Qatar's rating to AA with a stable outlook. According to Fitch, "Qatar will continue to run a budget surplus until the next decade as a result of the expansion of the North Field.
The North Gas Field is the largest gas field in the world, and the area of the field is about9,700 square kilometers, of which 6,000 are in Qatar's territorial waters, and the rest are on the Iranian side, and the field was discovered in 1971, and production began in 1989.
Qatar, which has announced an expansion of the liquefied gas industry to capture a larger share of global natural gas trade, will earn more than $30 billion more than $30 billion in annual revenues.
