Central Bank data showed that the annual rate of core inflation in Egypt rose during February 2024, for the first time in 8 months.
Egypt's core inflation rate year-on-year was 35.1 percent in February compared to 29 percent in January 2024.
This comes after the jump in the monthly rate of core inflation, prepared by the Central Bank, to 13.2 percent in February 2024 compared to 8.1 percent in the same month of the previous year, and a monthly rate of 2.2 percent in January 2024.
