Qatar Chamber Chairman Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim bin Mohammed Al Thani praised the keenness of Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to meet with Qatari business owners and investors during his official visit to Doha. He pointed out that Qatar Chamber, as a representative of the Qatari private sector, welcomes the strengthening of cooperation between companies from both countries, and hopes to activate the memorandum of understanding signed between it and the Kazakh Chamber of Commerce and Industry several years ago, in order to achieve common goals and enhance cooperation between the Qatari and Kazakh private sectors.
He explained that despite the distinguished relations between the two countries, trade exchange is still weak and does not meet the level of our ambitions, which puts the responsibility on all of us to work together to promote bilateral trade, pointing out that the private sector in the two countries can play an important role in activating trade exchange through the conclusion of partnerships and trade alliances between Qatari and Kazakh companies.HE Sheikh Khalifa Al-Thani called on Qatari investors to review the investment opportunities available in Kazakhstan in the sectors of agriculture, mining, petrochemicals, infrastructure development, food production, and others.
