Kristalina Georgieva, Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund, revealed that the war between Israel and Hamas has destroyed the economies of both the besieged Gaza Strip and the occupied West Bank, noting, "The bad prospects for the Palestinian economy are getting worse as the conflict continues."

Georgieva revealed that economic activity in the sector fell by 80 percent in the October-December period compared to the previous year. In the West Bank, the decline was 22 percent.

She continued: "Outside the Palestinian territories, the war has also harmed the tourism sectors in neighboring countries such as Egypt, Jordan, and Lebanon."
