The total assets of Qatar banks at the end of 2023 amounted to about 1.969 trillion riyals ($ 540.93 billion), compared to 1.905 trillion riyals in the same month of 2022.
According to Qatar Central Bank data, the assets of commercial banks reached the highest level at the end of last month, while they recorded the lowest level at the end of January 2023. Commercial banks' assets rose by 3.38 percent annually, equivalent to 64.38 billion riyals. Commercial banks' assets grew 1.19 percent, or 23.23 billion riyals, from 1.946 trillion riyals at the end of November. The annual performance of Qatar commercial banks' assets was supported by an increase in the volume of their domestic assets by 4.35% to reach 1.615 trillion riyals by the end of December, compared to 1.548 trillion riyals in the same month of 2022.
