Data released by QNB showed that the total assets of the Qatari banking sector increased by 0.4 percent in November compared to the previous month to reach QR1.946 trillion.
According to the data, total loans to the Qatari banking sector decreased by 0.2 percent month-on-month (up 1.4 percent in 2023), while deposits increased by 0.2 percent month-on-month (-1.8 percent in 2023) in November 2023. The public sector pushed total credit down. With deposits rising in November, the loan-to-deposit ratio fell to 129.7 percent from 130.3 percent in October 2023.
Total loans also decreased slightly by 0.2 percent in November 2023. Total public sector loans decreased by 2.5 percent month-on-month (-4.1 percent in 2023).
