Inflation in Turkey Rises To 61.98 Percent

Turkey's annual consumer price inflation rate rose in November to 61.98 percent, driven by higher food and transport prices.

Data from the Turkish Statistical Institute showed inflation rose 3.28 percent month-on-month, slightly below previous forecasts. Inflation rose by 60.09 percent compared to December last year, 61.98 percent compared to November last year and 53.40 percent according to the averages of the past twelve months.

The main group that showed the least increase, compared to the same month last year, was housing, at 37.54 percent. The main group that saw the highest increase compared to the same month last year was restaurants and hotels with 92.86 percent.
