Tesla CEO Elon Musk's fortune plummeted in October despite retaining the title of the richest person in the world, falling to $193 billion, according to the latest estimates from the Bloomberg Billionaires Index. It is the first time Musk's wealth has fallen below $200 billion since early June.
Musk, whose 13 percent stake in Tesla accounts for the lion's share of his wealth, has seen his fortune fall by about $41 billion since Tesla reported disappointing third-quarter results and earnings call on Oct. 18, which Wall Street called a "mini-disaster."
