International Monetary Fund Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva warned the countries of the world against making wrong decisions to address financial and economic vulnerabilities, especially inflation and interest rates.
At the opening of the autumn meetings of the IMF and the World Bank, which will be held in Marrakech, Morocco, from October 9 to 15, Georgieva stressed that "if the countries of the world make a mistake in making decisions to address their economic and financial weaknesses, future generations will pay the price."
The problem of weak growth of the global economy continues to be a headache for advanced and developing economies, as a result of continued high inflation, which has been partially addressed by a sharp rise in interest rates.
