The inflation rate slowed for the third consecutive month, as the consumer price index in Saudi Arabia fell 2 percent in August, compared to the same month last year. This is lower than the previous month, July 2023, when it was 2.3 percent.

Inflation recorded its slowest pace in 14 months, according to data from the Saudi General Authority for Statistics, as rents of housing, food, and beverages continued to affect the inflation rate in Saudi Arabia, causing this decline.

Housing rents in Saudi Arabia fell from 10.79 percent in June to 10.33 percent in July.
