Tunisia recorded GDP growth of 0.6 percent during the second quarter of 2023, compared to the same period last year.
According to the National Institute of Statistics (governmental), preliminary estimates of the tripartite national accounts showed that economic activity recorded a growth in the volume of GDP processed by the impact of seasonal changes by 0.6 percent over the second quarter of the current year (April to June), compared to the same quarter last year.
The institute revealed that the growth rate during the first third of 2023 was revised from 2.1 percent (which was released in the data for the month of May) to 1.9 percent after updating the production estimates of the agricultural season.
