Jordan records strong growth in tourism revenues since the beginning of 2023

Jordanian tourism income increased during the first quarter of this year by 88.4 percent on an annual basis. Revenues during the period between January and March amounted to about $1.67 billion.

Statistics showed that spending on tourism outside the country increased by 68.4 percent during the first quarter of 2023, reaching $ 422.3 million.

Tourism income last month grew by 49 percent compared to the same month in 2022 to $614.7 million. The increase in tourism income for the current year came as a result of the increase in the number of tourists, which reached more than 1.47 million visitors, with a growth rate of 90.7 percent.
