The Swiss investment bank “Credit Suisse” expected the global growth to accelerate in the coming months as countries gradually reopen their economies, leading to a recovery in revenue growth and re-employment.

In its investment forecasts for the second half of 2021, Credit Suisse expected the global economy to grow by 5.9 percent this year and 4 percent in 2022, driven by the expansion of vaccinations, financial stimulus and the expansion of services recovery.

It also expected the United States to achieve a growth rate of 6.9 percent this year, while growth in the euro area is expected to expand by 4.2 percent, and the growth in Asia, excluding Japan, will be 7.5 percent. The economic expansion is also likely to lead to a sharp rebound in global corporate earnings growth, which is set to fuel the stock market. Stocks are expected to be the asset class that will outperform over the next six months and up to a year. Noting that as long as profits continue to be on the upside, history indicates that stocks will make their way up.
