The President of Jordan Chamber of Commerce, Nael Al-Kabariti, discussed in the Syrian capital, Damascus, with Minister of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection Talal Al-Barazi, mechanisms for enhancing trade exchange between the two countries.
During the meeting, Al-Kabariti affirmed the Jordanian commercial sector’s keenness to activate the trade exchange movement with Syria and facilitate the flow of goods between the two countries. He also stressed the need to remove all obstacles facing the transit trade, as well as the importance of integration between the various economic and industrial activities in the two countries.
Al-Kabariti stated that his visit to Syria aims to perpetuate the relationship between the Jordanian-Syrian economic sectors and to work on finding a mechanism to activate ties to serve common interests.
In turn, Minister Al-Barazi affirmed the readiness to provide all forms of support and facilities necessary to activate the movement of trade exchange, especially the transit trade, as it has a vital role in stimulating the flow of goods between the two countries and the markets of other countries.
During the meeting, which was attended by the President of the Federation of Syrian Chambers of Commerce, Mohamed Abou El-Hoda El-Lahham, who stressed the importance of exchanging visits between businessmen and members of the chambers of commerce in the two countries, organizing exhibitions and shopping festivals, and establishing investment projects.
