Trade Exchange Upsurge Between Arab Countries & Brazil

A report issued by the Arab-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce revealed that the value of Brazilian exports to the Arab countries reached 12.197 billion dollars at the end of last year (2019), registering a growth of 6.3 percent from the year before (2018).

The imports of the United Arab Emirates from Brazil last year amounted to 2.77 million tons, valued at $2.21 billion, while purchases of Saudi Arabia of Brazilian goods amounted to 3.48 million tons, valued at $2.04 billion. As for Egypt and Oman, their purchases amounted to 6.78 million tons of Brazilian products, at a value of $1.83 billion, and 10.81 million tons of goods, at a value of 937.58 million dollars, respectively.

As for beef, the Arab countries imported 354.5 thousand tons, valued at $1.17 billion. Egypt was the largest importer of meat with 162.66 thousand tons at a value of 476.69 million dollars, followed by the United Arab Emirates with 71.40 thousand tons, valued at $259.58 million, noting that the value of imported beef was 93% higher than 2018.
