Oman's Revenues Rose by 2.5 percent

Revenues of the Sultanate of Oman increased by 2.5 per cent to reach 7 billion, 949 million & 600 thousand Omani Rials at the end of September 2019 compared to 7 billion, 754 million and 100 thousand Rials by the end of September 2018.

According to the preliminary statistics released by the National Center for Statistics and Information, the total public expenditure decreased by 1.8 percent to OMR 9,494,300,000 compared to OMR 9,670,700,000 during the same period in 2018.

The reason for the increase in the fiscal revenues until the end of September 2019 is due to the increase in corporate income tax by 39.6 percent to reach OMR 580.2 million compared to OMR 415.5 million at the end of September 2018.

Oil revenues fell by 3.3 percent to 4 billion & 603.6 million rials. However, gas revenues also fell by 5.1 percent to reach OMR 1.35 billion.
