BCCI Calls for Wider Participation to the “18th Arab Businessmen and Investors Conference”

The Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) has invited the Kingdom's economic and trade bodies to intensify their participation in the “18th Arab Businessmen and Investors Conference 2019”, which will be held under the patronage of King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of Bahrain, during the period 11-13 November 2019, under the slogan "The Fourth Industrial Revolution: Building the Future - Entrepreneurship, and Innovation in the Digital Economy", organized and supported by the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Union of Arab Chambers, the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States and the Arab Corporation for Investment Guarantee and Export Credit and the International Center for Entrepreneurship and Investment (UNIDO) in Bahrain.

On this occasion, BCCI’s first vice-chairman Mr. Khalid Najibi, stressed the importance of the topics to be discussed by the conference as it is expected to produce results that serve the development of the Arab economies. It is also hoped that it will contribute to the creation of a roadmap for entrepreneurship, innovation, digital and knowledge economy, which is a real addition to the Arab economies and a base to move towards the transition to a knowledge-based economy, which is imposed by reality and circumstances as a result of structural changes in the global economy, including Arab economies."

Mr. Najibi added: "The conference will focus on investing in entrepreneurship and innovation in the digital revolution in the Arab world, strengthening organizational cooperation among Arab countries in this field, highlighting the opportunities and challenges of the fourth industrial revolution in the public and private sectors, and emphasizing the importance of keeping pace with the global developments and quality innovations", which supports the attainment of the hopeful achievements in various sectors, enabling the community to play an active role in the transformation process established by the Fourth Industrial Revolution, in addition to emphasizing the need to adopt technological innovations as a means to support the fields of entrepreneurship and strengthening the productivity levels."
