The Jordanian trade deficit, which represents the difference between the value of imports and the value of total exports, decreased by 10.2 percent, or an amount of 4.632 billion dinars, during the first 7 months of this year, compared to the same period last year.
The report released by the Jordanian Department of Statistics shown that Jordan's total exports increased by 5.1 percent or JD 3.260 billion compared to the same period in 2018, whereas imports also fell by 4.4 percent to JD 7.892 billion compared to the same period last year.
The report pointed out that the rate of coverage of total exports of imports in Jordan, amounted to 41.3 percent during the first seven months of this year, while the coverage rate was 37.6 percent, compared with the same period last year, an increase of 3.7 percentage points.
