A meeting of Board of Directors of Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry (QCCI) was held and chaired by Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim Al-Thani, the President of the Board and attended by its members and a number of businessmen and employees of the chamber, where they ratified the estimated budget of the fiscal year 2019.
In his review of the Board's report for the year ended on 31 December 2018, Sheikh Khalifa said: "2018 was an exceptional year for Qatar and for the Qatar Chamber by all standards for the achievements and successes at all levels. It was a bright year with Qatar's achievements, and excellence in various sectors both internally and externally."
He added that "thanks to God Almighty, and the wisdom of the wise leadership and the efforts exerted by all sides, Qatar has been able to continue its economic growth, and has been on the throne of LNG production in the world, and has become one of the largest sources of investment, in addition to many state achievements achieved at various levels and areas.
Sheikh Khalifa expressed hope that the year 2019 will witness more success and active participation from all members of the Qatari private sector.
