The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, in cooperation with the Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the UAE, organized the UAE-Australia Business Forum on the occasion of a visit by a high-ranking delegation from Australia, chaired by the President of the Australian-Arab Chamber of Commerce and Industry Roland Jabbour. The delegation included more than 50 businessmen and representatives of commercial companies in Australia.
The meeting was attended by the Chairman of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) Abdullah Sultan Al Owais, along with a number of Board members, Secretary General of the Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry Hamid Mohammed Bin Salem and Acting Director General of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce Mohammed Ahmed Amin.
The forum aimed at introducing mutual investment opportunities, reviewing prospects for bilateral cooperation and partnerships in various economic sectors, and allowing business participants in the two countries to meet with their counterparts to discuss opportunities for cooperation and investment available to both sides.
The Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry also organized a trade meeting with the Australian delegation to discuss ways to promote and develop business investments between private sector representatives in Abu Dhabi and Australia.
Roland Jabbour stressed that the UAE is a civilized country with a global standing in all fields. It is a positive example of economic success and its pioneering role in the region in terms of promoting and consolidating the concepts of comprehensive development.
