Assistant Secretary General of the Union of Arab Chambers, Mr. Shaheen Ali Shaheen, participated in the Extraordinary Meeting of the Higher Coordination Committee for Joint Arab Action, held at the headquarters of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT) in Alexandria, Egypt.
The Meeting witnessed important discussions, namely around the development and activation of the mechanisms and internal regulations of the Committee, in addition to the role of Arab Organizations and Arab Joint Action Institutions in achieving sustainable development in the Arab region.
The closing session was presided by the Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, during which he stressed on the importance of developing the work of the Committee in ways that are consistent with the developments in the Arab region and abroad, both economically and socially, emphasizing the need to adopt innovative ideas and initiatives that enhance the effectiveness of the Joint Arab Action Initiative.
On this occasion, the Union of Arab Chambers will host the next meeting of the Higher Coordination Committee for joint Arab action in its headquarters in Beirut, Lebanon.
