The Council of Saudi Chambers hosted the 50th meeting of the Council of the Federation of GCC Chambers, chaired by the President of UAE Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Mohammed Al Rumaithi.
During the meeting, the minutes of the 49th meeting of the Council of GCC Chambers were ratified, as were the follow-up to the decisions of the 49th meeting of the Council of the Union and the recommendations of the 41st meeting of the Executive Leaders Committee, in addition to the periodic joint meeting with their Excellencies, the ministers of trade in the GCC countries in Kuwait, and prepare for the next 51th meeting of the Council of the Federation in December.
A number of issues related to the Gulf private sector were also discussed in addition to enhancing its role in the economic development, the acceleration of the implementation of the economic unity projects, trade barriers were eliminated, competitive advantages were strengthened, foreign investment was attracted, new sectors were developed and new investment reforms were adopted. In addition to discussing the economic developments in the General Secretariat of the Federation of GCC Chambers, including the latest developments on the Federation Tower, the general budget and the final accounts.
