Bahrain's Economic Development Board (BEDB) disclosed that it attracted $ 810 million worth of foreign investment and 76 companies to Bahrain in the first nine months of this year.
In the first nine months of 2018, Bahrain attracted more than US $77 million more than what it could attract during 2017. The Board attributed these investments to the growing interest of investors around the world in Bahrain as a gateway to the 1.5 trillion dollar gulf economy.
During the first nine months of 2018, investments grew by 138 percent over the same period last year. The Board succeeded in attracting 76 companies with total investments of $ 810 million, surpassing the previous figure achieved by the BEBD in 2017 by attracting 71 companies accounting total investments of $ 733 million.
