Saud Albrair: Importance of Turkish Investments in Sudan

On the occasion of the Sudanese-Turkish Business Forum held at the Corinthia Hotel, and organized by the Sudanese Businessmen & Employers Federation', H.E. Saud Mamoun Albrair, President of Sudanese Businessmen & Employers Federation, said "This meeting comes in continuation of the positive relations’ development witnessed after the historic visit, late last year, of His Highness Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Turkish President of the Country, and the resulting understandings with Omar al-Bashir, President of the Sudanese Republic, which led to a qualitative shift in the course of political, economic and social relations."
Albrair reiterated his readiness to fully cooperate with the Turkish private sector to support the economies of the two countries and strengthen the close relations enjoyed by the Turkish and Sudanese businessmen in various fields, providing them with the support, care, and attention of the country's leadership. This will be achieved by giving importance to the Turkish investments and projects in Sudan to become a model for joint cooperation with other countries and to establish a starting point for African-Turkish cooperation through Sudan.
He expressed his hope for the two countries to continue working together in efforts to facilitate and encourage cooperation, and promote trade exchanges through easier banking, air and sea transportation.
