The Secretary General of the Union of Arab Chambers Dr. Khaled Hanafi signed with the Secretary General of the Arab Federation for Industrial Exports Development Ambassador Abdel Moneim Mohamed Mahmoud a cooperation agreement aimed at encouraging the private and public sectors in the Arab countries to establish joint industrial projects.
The agreement includes proposal of mechanisms for the development of export industries, which will contribute to the modernization, development and strengthening of Arab industry and increase their competitiveness, as well as the development of small, medium and small industrial investments and projects in the Arab countries.
Following the signing of the agreement, which was held at the headquarters of the League of Arab States in the presence of the Assistant Secretary General for Economic Affairs of the League of Arab States Ambassador Dr. Kamal Hassan Ali, Dr. Khaled Hanafi stated "The agreement includes the introducing of Arab businesses and investment incentives in Arab countries and encourage them to enter into joint projects to promote Economic cooperation among each other in addition to strengthening of trade and investment relations between the Arab countries, stressing that "the agreement includes the promotion of trade and industrial relations between the business communities in the Arab countries on the basis of cooperation and mutual benefit and the electronic linkage between the Union of Arab Chambers and The Arab Federation for the Development of Industrial Exports in order to maximize cooperation between the two unions to determine the requirements of preparing for the Fourth Industrial Revolution and cooperate in organizing programs and training courses to serve the commercial, industrial, agricultural and services sectors in the Arab countries.
He also cleared that "it was agreed to study the establishment of an Arab-African e-commerce portal and to organize an international expo and conference in the field of transport and logistics in Cairo and to send commercial missions to markets targeted at Arab exports."
