The President of Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Samir Abdullah Nass, discussed with the Japanese ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain Hideki Ito ways to promote and develop economic and trade relations between the two friendly countries in order to create partnership, enhance opportunities and possibilities of joint investment between the two countries.
Nass assured “the concern of the Chamber and the Bahraini private sector to improve the level of the binary relations between Bahrain and Japan by activating the role of the private sector in both countries to develop and activate joint investments and develop the relations of partnership between the two sides”, pointing at “the importance of overcoming all obstacles to the promotion of trade exchange between Bahrain and Japan".
Form his part, the Japanese Ambassador expressed his country's desire to develop and strengthen various aspects of trade and economic cooperation with Bahrain, saluting the strengthening of cooperation mechanisms between Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Chambers of Commerce in Japan to achieve all that serves the development of common economic interests.
It should be noted, that Japan has been associated with Bahrain Kingdom by strong trade, economic and investment ties since ancient times, with binary trade reaching 311 million dinars at the end of 2017, according to the Central Bureau of Statistics (CIO).
