The Union of Arab Chambers participated in the 45th meeting of the Implementation and Follow-up Committee of the Greater Arab Free Trade Area which was held at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States in Cairo on 13-15 / 5/2018, under the chairmanship of the United Arab Emirates. represented by the Advisor to the Minister of Economy, Mr. Mohammed Saleh Shalawah, And the presence of representatives of the Arab States and relevant Arab organizations and unions. At the meeting, the Union was represented by the Director of Economic Research, Ms. May Demashkieh Sarhal, and the Economic Adviser to the Union, Dr. Sarah Al-Jazzar.

The agenda of the meeting was as follows:
Section 1: Follow-up to the implementation of the Greater Arab Free Trade Area, including Saudi Arabia's request to discuss the obstacles facing some of its exports to Arab countries.
