A report by Swiss wealth-management giant UBS revealed an increase in the number of billionaires in the Middle East and Africa from 72 in 2024 to 91 in 2025, an increase of 26 percent.
The number of billionaires in Saudi Arabia rose by 113.2 percent, with 13 individuals joining the billionaires’ club. In the UAE, the number of billionaires increased from 18 to 19, while total wealth grew by 21.6 percent to reach $168.7 billion.
In Egypt, the number of billionaires remained unchanged at four, with their combined wealth rising by 13.9 percent to $17.2 billion. In Lebanon, the number of billionaires also remained steady at two, while their wealth increased to $6.2 billion compared with $5.6 billion previously.
