Data from the Central Bank of Tunisia revealed that revenues from tourism and remittances from Tunisians abroad covered 120.9 percent of total external debt servicing by the end of September 2025. The external debt service—which includes principal repayments and interest—amounted to 10.55 billion dinars (around 3.63 billion dollars), marking a slight decline of 3.7 percent compared to the end of September 2024. According to the bank, this decline reflects a temporary easing in public debt servicing burdens, which contributes to reducing pressure on the national economy and freeing up additional resources for investment in development projects and improving public services.

Total revenues generated from tourism and external remittances reached about 12.75 billion dinars (around 4.38 billion dollars) during the first nine months of the current year, exceeding the value of external debt servicing of 10.55 billion dinars (3.63 billion dollars).
