Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin projected that Russia’s economy will grow by 1.3 percent in 2026. He explained that “the draft budget has been prepared based on the baseline forecasts for social and economic development. The project anticipates GDP growth of 1.3 percent next year. Over the three-year period, output is expected to increase by nearly 7 percent, reaching about 276 trillion rubles in nominal terms.”
Mishustin added that “Russia’s GDP recorded growth of 1.1 percent from January to July 2025, which is far higher than the growth rate in a number of countries insisting on tightening sanctions against Russia.”
