Egyptians’ Remittances Abroad Increase by 50 Percent

Remittances from Egyptians working abroad rose by 49.7 percent during the first seven months of this year, reaching about $23.2 billion, compared to around $15.5 billion during the same period last year.

On a monthly level, remittances in July 2025 increased by 26.3 percent, recording approximately $3.8 billion — the highest monthly level ever — compared to around $3 billion in July 2024.

According to data from the Central Bank of Egypt, remittances from Egyptians abroad grew by 66.2 percent during the fiscal year 2024–2025, reaching $36.5 billion compared to about $21.9 billion in the fiscal year 2023–2024.
