Morocco’s annual inflation rate slowed to 0.3 percent in August from 0.5 percent in July, due to a 0.2 percent increase in food prices and a 0.3 percent increase in non-food product prices.

The core inflation index, which excludes volatile and government-regulated prices, remained unchanged in August 2025 compared to July, but registered a 0.7 percent increase on an annual basis.

On a monthly basis, inflation rose by 0.5 percent in August compared to the previous month, mainly driven by higher food product prices. This increase was due to a notable 1.1 percent rise in food prices, while non-food product prices rose only slightly by 0.1 percent.
